*Relax. Child support was awarded to you for a reason. You are not wrong in attempting to make your children's life a little better by obtaining this support
*IMPORTANT: Child support is a highly emotional issue. It benefits most custodial parents if conversations concerning child support are kept to a minimum with the non-paying non-custodial. Collection efforts on your case are jeopardized if emotions are running high
*Although we have the tools available to us to locate people, in most cases the non-custodial's social security number is required in continuing the collection process. In looking for the social security number, you may want to check the following documents; old tax returns, insurance papers or any military documents.
*Keep copies of all legal documents
*It would be beneficial to your case if you were able to provide information concerning the non- custodial's immediate family, friends or work history. It can also be helpful if you know any information about a current partner/spouse or any additional children the non-custodial may have.
